Why is Meal Planning Difficult?

Why is Meal Planning Difficult?

When you break it down, menu planning is just deciding what you want to eat on any given day. On the surface, it seems like a dream chore.

Why is Meal Planning So Difficult

I mean, I love mealtimes with my family… not just the talking, laughing, and sharing part of the meal. I love the smells, the tastes, the textures. The effortless dance of the ingredients beautifully combining to give the perfect hints of Sour, Salty, Sweet, Savory.

I don’t know many people who dislike mealtime. So why do so many of us dislike the process of creating the idea for the meal?

Decision overload.

From the moment we wake up until our heads hit the pillow, we are slammed with more options and decisions than our brains were made to deal with.

Which of the 37 different kinds of toothpaste will we choose for our families to use?

Do we prefer puppies, or bears, or babies to be pictured on our toilet paper to portray the perfect balance of comfort and strength (come to think of it, they are all kind of terrible options).

And that’s just at the grocery store!

The question of what our families should eat for dinner becomes one more decision in a litany of others. Making us procrastinate until it is too late to create a truly enjoyable or healthy meal for our families.

What if there were a way we could change that? What if we could make menu planning not only functional, but enjoyable?

I’m going to show you some easy steps to take to go from hating meal planning to not knowing what you would do without it!
